The PIE Board of Directors’ budget is currently managed by a qualified volunteer treasurer who also serves on the Board of Directors. The board receives a financial report at every regular bi-monthly board meeting.

PIE receives regular funding from:

  • Spalding County United Way
  • In 2010 Partners in Education received a $21,000 grant from the Spalding Collaborative Authority for Families and Children. 
  • Annual Golf Tournament 
  • Spalding County Hospital Authority
  • Donations

 

Partners in Education has also received funding through Partner in Education members and special grants.

 

Accomplishments

  • Over 14 years, PIE distributed over $69,000 to classrooms in the Griffin-Spalding County School System. 
  • United Way funding has ranged between $4,000 and $5,000 annually. The funds are used for the mini-grant program for classrooms and recruiting, retaining and recognizing Partners in Education.  
  • The operating and/or fiscal year is July 1 to June 30.
